Here at Bountiful Dachshunds, we carefully select and plan each and every breeding, striving for excellent health, disposition and conformation with the goal in mind of improving the breed and providing a well rounded companion and pet. One of the greatest joys we have is watching each of our pups being born. We are there to assist our moms when they need a little extra help and have excellent vets and their team available within five minutes of our home.
We raise our puppies inside our home with our family and children, where they receive lots of love and care on a daily basis. At three weeks of age, we start to introduce the puppies to puppy food which gradually leads them to weaning off their mom at six weeks of age. pee pad and crate introduction is begun at this time and around eight to nine weeks of age (weather permitting), we allow them to go outside with their mom for a little bit at a time. This is an excellent time for her to teach them proper socialization with her and our other dachshunds.
Our goal is to send home a well rounded, happy and ready to house train puppy. Before bringing a puppy into your home, it's important to do the research and study up on the breed that you're considering in order to make sure that you and/or your family are compatible. We love dachshunds and think they're one of the best breeds out there!

We offer PRA/NCL/OI among others, testing. The cost is $150 (at potential buyer expense) if you would like your puppy tested. We are in the process of testing all our males and female adults and will be glad to give you their results for serious inquirers only.
When inquiring about our pups, we appreciate emails letting us know a little about you and your experience or familiarity with dachshunds or dogs in general. If this is your first time, we'll be happy to guide you to the information you need. We're here to answer any questions you may have and to help match the right puppy for you and/or your family. If we shouldn't have the right pup for you, we'll gladly refer you to another "ethical and reputable" breeder.
We have current and a few former adults who are now therapy dogs!
